YOUR PRE-MATCH TEAM TALK
FOOTGOLF RULES.
ENJOY THE GAME.
New to football golf? Learn how to play before your visit to our 18-hole course at Escot Park, near Exeter. A few simple rules keep the game fun for every squad.
- Complete all 18 holes using as few kicks as possible.
- Start at each tee. Younger children may begin closer to the hole.
- Follow the instructions on each tee sign. Where none are shown, play towards the hole.
- Landing on another fairway or a walkway adds one penalty shot.
- Play the ball where it stops. Never kick a moving ball.
- Take turns. If another ball blocks your shot, ask its player to go next.
- The winner of a hole tees off first at the next.
- If one ball hits another, return the struck ball to its previous position.
- Kick in a single movement, without resting your foot on the ball first.
- Keep one foot grounded when kicking. Do not jump or clamp the ball.
- Keep to walkways, fairways and greens. Leave obstacles in place.
- Wear trainers or suitable shoes. Football boots and studs are not allowed.
- Let smaller groups play through. Leave flags in place; do not climb obstacles or use other activity equipment. Put litter in bins.
